Pratham USA, Seattle

A small group of volunteers in the Seattle area comprises the newest Pratham chapter in the US Pratham Seattle. With a large and influential Indian community, we are excited to have the opportunity to discuss the future of education and development in India, raise money for Pratham US to fund the Read India initiative and over time advise Pratham on the utilization of technology for education.

Pratham Seattle Gala 2008

Pratham Seattle's first Annual Gala, held on September 12, was a tremendous success. The event, held at the upscale Westin Bellevue, featured a glamorous fashion show by India's leading designers Satya Paul and Deepika Gehani. Miss India 2008, Simran Mundi, Miss India 2007 Sarah Jane Dias and Miss India 2005, Sindhura Gadde were among the top models showcasing the collections. Popular Bollywood and TV actress Simone Singh was the emcee for the evening. The event raised over $150,000 for the Read India campaign that will be used to sponsor 10 districts in India.
